Spirit and her Friend Angel

This is a story about a little Spirited girl. A little Spirited girl and her Angel Friend. A little Spirited blonde Curly girl and her Angel Dark Straight haired friend. Their mommies are the best of pals and share stories all the live long day about their two girls that they adore. The stories often differ, from the day they were born really!

Let's just begin with a picture illustration.

Peaceful Angel and Bothered Spirit

Miss Angel went to sleep, her mother reports, directly after being born and they had to keep waking her up so she would eat. My Spirit was not happy, not happy at all with her new surroundings. In fact, the nurses brought her to us the second night after we had asked for her stay in the nursery because we were sooooo tired, and woke us up because there was nothing they could do to console her.

So the two mommies learned how to care for their very different babies and finally one day they got to meet face to face. Spirit was just one and Angel was about 9 months.

Angel had to tell Spirit how to share the window--look at her point her finger!

Spirit just told Angel that she knows how to cause all sorts of chaos at her house--sleepless nights, huge messes, eating strikes, getting around baby-proofing, etc. Angel is taken aback by this information and seems deeply alarmed!

Spirit seems determined to show Angel how to have a good time, Angel looks a mite apprehensive.

A Photo shoot is attempted. Don't be fooled by the twin outfits.

The Photo shoot quickly breaks down as Angel tries to make a fast get away.

In the end, Angel poses so nicely and Spirit boogies!

Along the way the girls have gotten together here and there...

And we have dressed them the same even though they are apart...

Today we got together for some fun and pizza. And we had a ball.

They continue to grow and be as different as a Spirited and Angel Baby/Toddler/Kid can be. And their mom's continue to be thankful for the gifts that God gave them because no matter what their personality, they are the biggest blessing anyone could ask for!

Guess who belongs with who???

Bowling and Teething

I think its official, we are on the last molar. Now I know they get some as the years go on but she is a late teether (she is almost three and getting her last one) so it won't be for a while. Therefore, I have to believe that my post from a few days ago Take a Deep Breath Everyone, JUST TAKE A DEEP BREA... was rooted in her teeth. We had a good morning yesterday and then, well, bowling was not so successful. Poor girl. She doesn't do that great with lots of lights and sound and people anyway. Top that with having been at church, going out to lunch (I'm surprised she napped ok) and then going out to dinner and then bowling in a bright, obnoxiously loud place that was totally new, well, we really were just asking for trouble. Oh and the molars, don't forget the molars. I won't go into all the craziness or the fact that R and I were warding off meltdowns literally every five minutes but will just try and highlight some of the fun.

We got the bumpers put up of course and B getting the ball down the lane only took about eight minutes before it lightly bumped some pins and maybe knocked a few over. She of course wanted to run after her ball down the lane and was a little sad when she couldn't. We bowled with another couple from church that has a little girl one day younger than B. It took the 6 of us 2 hours to play one game and that was with the guys hurrying up and playing for the girls at the end. Wow. So here's a little picture run down of the evening. It was fun to do a "first" in bowling.
She much preferred this machine to actual bowling.

Giving it a go with Daddy.
These activities were much more entertaining for her.
Here they Come......And there they Go.
Lucky Guy! He's got two blonde's in the bowling alley!
And why would her socks be dirty? Because they don't have bowling shoes in her size. Disgusting but Oh Well!

This weekend

Wow. We had a big Saturday! B got to see both sets of grandparents, her cousins, and some family friends. And not all in that order. She was good in spite of all the chaos though she fell asleep on the way home and took a 5:30-7:30 nap. So it was fun times trying to get her to go to bed. I thought I would share some pictures of her and a video of her with her baby cousins. They are 10 months old and just the cutest little things--second to my girl of course. So here was our adventure in pictures....

Cousin #1

Cousin #2 --Yes, they are twins. :-)

The three together. Umm, it may take a few
years to get a good pic of the three of them...

And let them eat cake!

I think that's Shakesphere or something...
This was at the shower we went to for a former
Teacher of mine who is adopting two children from Columbia!
This is her buddy C... Notice how B is about to eat her cake with such flair
while C nicely takes bites.

Aww, they are friends!

And this is my girl acting like, well, my girl! Poor Baby.
I made B apologize afterward...

I guess the positive is She knows what she wants and goes after it! Or something like that. :-)

Thanks for reading our blog!
