You Forgot to Go to Bed!

About 15 minutes after I posted the one below, I heard my girl SOBBING over the monitor. I thought she had a bad dream or something. I got up there and she said, "Moooommmyyy, you have to go to bed....You forgooooot!" Alllll sad. She is such a funny little girl!

New Camera!!!

It was a beautiful day today. A mite chilly but beautiful none the less. We played outside forever and ate our lunch out there. I read my camera manual which is laughable. I'm such a hands on learner. Well, I say that, I'm a--read it over--not really grasp it--try to do it--look back at the directions/read it over again--try to do it again--ok I think I've got it--learner. There is actually a name for that. I learned it once in Psychology class in college. However, I just heard it the one time so without my learning process, I can't tell you what it was! Wow, how's that for rambling? The whole point of this entry is to post some pics with my new camera. Its a great little point and shoot which takes pics very quickly and has some advanced features that I'm going to try hard to use. So here goes!

Our Dandelions grow sideways here so we don't get the yard treated.

Hello Again...

I feel like I've lost touch with my blogging world. I haven't even kept up on the one's that I read. I got a camera that was originally $400 for $169 so that's exciting. I just now am getting it out and charging the batteries and all. I can't wait to see what it can do. Here's my last round of pictures from the old one. I'm excited to get back into blogging and reading the ones I like to keep up on. My life has been a whirlwind of weekend travels lately. I CANNOT wait to be home this weekend. We hope all is well with you and can't wait to be back to our regular blogging world!
My Little Climbing Monkey--Doesn't that hurt?

"I'm doing my Exercises Mom!"

"Quit taking my picture Mom!"
"Mom, can I watch TV on your bed for a little bit?" Sure little Spirited girl who refused to nap 3 days in a row. Sure you can. Naps at 6PM are not a good thing!!!! :)

So I'm hoping you have missed my camera as much as I have! That little booger. Anyway...I do have some pictures to post from a quick visit I made to see my nieces who turned one yesterday! Let's see, I took a few others of my girl. I can't remember what else there is, but I'll just do a picture blog to catch everyone up. The good news is now I will have a camera!!!! Someone gave me some some money to get one but I'm not allowed to reveal who they are. But thank you! I can't wait!

Now this is a Bib for a Spirited Kid!

I found some bibs today that I wish I had had a couple of years ago. If you have a Spirited Baby/Toddler (or former one) you may have noticed that they are constantly doing something with their hands. My girl would pull off her bib-- every kind, shape and size. Tie, velcro, whatever. Today I found these. They are sturdy, easy to wash, provide lots of much needed coverage and are hard to remove! I am going to start selling them routinely on eBay to provide them for mom's that need heavy duty bib's. If you are interested you can go here Items for sale. But hey, no pressure! I'm not making huge profits off of them but thought they would be fun and easy to sell. Here's my cute girl almost 2 years ago!
Yep, no bib for me!

We Dida Ikea!

I went to Ikea with a friend the other day. Wow. We have one close to us that just opened and made the trek down there with my girl. Who was really, really good. She wandered around with us for about an hour and really seemed to enjoy herself. She listened pretty well and stayed with us. Oh, wait, let me back up, we stopped and got the breakfast (a huge plate of food for only .99!!!) in the cafe and I stupidly let her hold the little jug of milk. She promptly took it and with a big smile on her face, threw it up in the air and did not catch it. It broke and spilled all over the floor. So after the poor Ikea guy had to mop up my girl's milk we wandered around.

It is an amazing place. Just HUGE and some really cool things are there. They have a play place for children that you can have your kids play while you shop. B and I both decided we would try it out after talking it over and she was getting bored. It looked pretty cool. We got up there and found out that she was about 3 inches too short. Poor girl she was soooooo sad. Luckily I had put her little portable DVD player in my purse. My friend and I pulled some pillows off the racks and lined a cart then let her lay in there and watch Veggie Tales. Unfortunately, due to the fact that she broke my camera, I couldn't get any snapshots. However, my friend took a few with her phone. Sorry they aren't the greatest but they make me smile!

PS For those of you raising or those of you who raised a Spirited or Strong willed kid. I just want to report that it is past 11PM and my child is not alseep. Why you may ask? Because I took her to a playplace and let her play for 2 1/2 hours while I did some paperwork. So she is sooooooooo tired. Now those of you who haven't experienced my world would think, so why isn't she sleeping? Well, its because she is very, very overtired and overstimulated and its ALL MY FAULT! I knew better. But she was doing so good and having such a good time. I should have come home sooner to give her more time in between play and bed to unwind. So now she's been in bed over two hours and still isn't down. But hey, live and learn. Again.
Signing off for now.
Spirit's Mom :)

What in the World was in that Picture???

I know you have all been waiting with baited breath. What did my girl do???
Well, she was taking a bath while I was drying my hair and such before I went to meet my friends from my small group last Thursday morning. I ran across the hall (literally 30 seconds and about 8 feet away) to grab my shirt. I came back, threw on a little mascara (pretty much the only make up I wear) and then told her it was time to let the water out of the tub and get ready to go. You know, because I had 3 minutes to get her out of the door and not be late. So as I was letting the water out I noticed that all of this white stuff was headed toward the drain. Any clue now??? Yep, she had reached out and grabbed a bunch of toilet paper off the roll that is on the wall right by the tub and dissolved it in the water. So now I had to figure out how to get the water down the drain and not a bunch of soggy toilet paper that would form into one big spit wad like clog. So I grabbed the mesh bag that holds her bath dolls and found that it would filter the wet wads of toilet paper. Of course this was a bit of a process. She was chattering the whole time...Momma I get paper towel... It wet momma!...Watcha doin momma?...That's my bag momma!...er ewe gonna clean it?...etc. etc. All the while I'm trying to hold the mesh bag over the drain and move it around because once the wet tissue covers the drain in one spot, the water won't let out. And try and keep toilet tissue from settling on my hands which just felt gross. I got to my small group meeting about 20 minutes late but hey, that's just the way it rolls around here! And I promise I typed that before I realized the pun!
So the winner is Katie! And she was the 2nd guesser. I wonder if she has experienced this before... Hmm. Watch for your genuine ebay reject in the mail!
PS Miss Spirit broke my camera 2 days ago. She dropped it off the table onto my tile floor. Sooooo sad. I'm tight on money as it is at the moment and there goes my blog pictures and ebay pictures! I thought I would post an old cute one because I just love sharing her pictures!

Spirit and her Friend Angel

This is a story about a little Spirited girl. A little Spirited girl and her Angel Friend. A little Spirited blonde Curly girl and her Angel Dark Straight haired friend. Their mommies are the best of pals and share stories all the live long day about their two girls that they adore. The stories often differ, from the day they were born really!

Let's just begin with a picture illustration.

Peaceful Angel and Bothered Spirit

Miss Angel went to sleep, her mother reports, directly after being born and they had to keep waking her up so she would eat. My Spirit was not happy, not happy at all with her new surroundings. In fact, the nurses brought her to us the second night after we had asked for her stay in the nursery because we were sooooo tired, and woke us up because there was nothing they could do to console her.

So the two mommies learned how to care for their very different babies and finally one day they got to meet face to face. Spirit was just one and Angel was about 9 months.

Angel had to tell Spirit how to share the window--look at her point her finger!

Spirit just told Angel that she knows how to cause all sorts of chaos at her house--sleepless nights, huge messes, eating strikes, getting around baby-proofing, etc. Angel is taken aback by this information and seems deeply alarmed!

Spirit seems determined to show Angel how to have a good time, Angel looks a mite apprehensive.

A Photo shoot is attempted. Don't be fooled by the twin outfits.

The Photo shoot quickly breaks down as Angel tries to make a fast get away.

In the end, Angel poses so nicely and Spirit boogies!

Along the way the girls have gotten together here and there...

And we have dressed them the same even though they are apart...

Today we got together for some fun and pizza. And we had a ball.

They continue to grow and be as different as a Spirited and Angel Baby/Toddler/Kid can be. And their mom's continue to be thankful for the gifts that God gave them because no matter what their personality, they are the biggest blessing anyone could ask for!

Guess who belongs with who???
